

Postdoctoral Researcher Position in Skin Cancer Immunology (m/f/d)

JOB DESCRIPTION
This position offers the unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge research related to immunometabolism in human skin within a highly dynamic research environment.
The successful candidate will join a translational research lab, working in close collaboration with MD and PhD lab members, as well as national and international collaborators. A key area of research will be the metabolic regulation of immune cells in human skin cancer. We believe that a deeper understanding of these mechanisms will pave the way for novel treatment options. This project is supported by the Volkswagen Foundation’s Momentum Initiative, offering the candidate a chance to engage in an emerging research field and to develop innovative concepts.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- independent planning and execution of research projects (experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation)
- publication of research findings (writing manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals and conference contributions)
- supervision and guidance of students, particularly medical students
- collaboration with internal and external research partners
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- PhD in Biomedical Sciences, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field
- experience in biomedical research
- strong motivation to collaborate with medical and scientific team members
- knowledge of bioinformatics is a significant advantage
- very good command English, spoken and written
- confident in using standard PC applications (MS Office, Outlook, SPSS)
